The WHO says that CBD currently does not pose a threat of dependency/addiction. The WHO also claims that CBD is "generally safe."

No, CBD does not get you ‘high’ when consumed. CBD is a non-psychoactive cannabinoid and so it does not produce effects that are commonly attributed to THC. Overall, consuming CBD does not lead to loss of control, euphoria, or intense visual effects.

THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid that produces the ‘high’ effect. Alternatively, CBD is non psychoactive and has been shown to have a number of benefits including anti-anxiety, pain relief and anti-inflammation.

Cannabis refers to a whole family of plants in the Cannabaceae family, which includes  three primary species: Cannabis sativa, Cannabis indica, and Cannabis ruderalis. 

Hemp is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain 0.3% or less THC content (by dry weight). 

Marijuana is a term used to classify varieties of Cannabis that contain more than 0.3% THC (by dry weight) and can induce psychotropic or euphoric effects on the user.

CBD is a cannabinoid found and extracted primarily from hemp flowers as these contain low levels of THC (less than 0.3%) in comparison to Marijuana which contains much higher levels of THC.

Hemp seed oil is extracted from hemp seeds, which have dietary or cosmetic applications. CBD oil, on the other hand, contains CBD that's extracted from hemp flowers.

CBD is typically extracted from CO2 or ethanol with the use of medical-grade extraction machines.

Medium-chain triglycerides are derived from coconut oil and are typically the "carrier" oil in CBD-based tinctures and capsules. MCT coconut oil ensures that the CBD is absorbed effectively by the body.

Pure CBD is another term for CBD isolate. CBD isolate does not contain other cannabinoids, terpenes, or flavonoids except CBD. Put simply, CBD isolate is the purest form of CBD available.

Broad-spectrum CBD is a product that contains CBD, along with all other cannabinoids and terpenes except THC.

Full-spectrum CBD contains all cannabinoids and terpenes within the hemp plant — including THC (less than 0.2% THC).

The endocannabinoid system is a network of receptors and neurotransmitters within the body, acting as the body’s ‘assistant manager’. Overall, cannabinoids, such as CBD, bind to receptors within the endocannabinoid system to support mental and physical issues.

The endocannabinoid system contains two receptor groups — CB1 and CB2. The CB1 and CB2 receptor groups are responsible for transmitting signals from cannabinoids, such as CBD, to the rest of the body.

The entourage effect is a term that describes the holistic and beneficial effects of consuming all naturally occurring cannabinoids, phytocannabinoids, terpenes and flavonoids together. In general, full-spectrum CBD oil is seen to produce the entourage effect.

Cannabinoids are compounds that are found in cannabis and hemp plants. There are over 113 cannabinoids, with CBD and THC being the two dominant cannabinoids.

Phytocannabinoids are the same as cannabinoids. The ‘Phyto’ is thrown in to denote that it's derived from plants

Terpenes are organic and volatile oils responsible for the aroma, flavour, and, to an extent, the effects of cannabis products.

Contrary to their name, flavonoids are primarily known to act as antioxidants or free radicals within the body. Flavonoids are found in Cannabis, alongside Terpenes and Cannabinoids.

Classic CBD strains are Charlotte's Web, AC/DC, Ringo's Gift, Harlequin, Lifter, Elektra, and Special Sauce.

CBD oil is non-intoxicating and will not affect your ability to drive. The majority of CBD oils do contain traces of cannabinoids which includes CBN and THC.  However, the content should not be any more than 1mg in any one container.

Yes, In most cases, CBD oil is safe to carry abroad as long as it contains less than 0.2% THC. While this exact threshold may differ from country to country, 0.2% is low enough to be safe in most locations. But you should check the laws in your target destination.

Mg is the total amount of CBD in a container, whilst the % is the concentration strength by volume. Let's compare a 30ml CBD bottle containing 3000mg of CBD, and a 10ml bottle containing 1500mg of CBD. Don't let the higher 3000mg dazzle you, as the 1500mg bottle has a higher % strength! The 30ml bottle contains 3000mg of CBD or 1000mg per 10ml, equivalent to 10% strength.Whilst the smaller 10ml  bottle contains 1500mg per 10ml, therefore has a higher CBD strength of 15%!

Bioavailability is a term that describes how much of a specific compound reaches the body's ‘site of action’. In the case of CBD — the site of action is the endocannabinoid system.

You can ingest, smoke, vape, dab, and topically apply CBD.

Generally, eating CBD products takes 1-3-hours to take effect. Smoking or vaporizing CBD provides instant results. Sublingual CBD takes effect within 15-45 minutes. Lastly, topical CBD takes effect within 20-45 minutes.

Yes. However, the side effects of CBD are minor. You may experience nausea, dizziness, and a loss or increase in appetite.

No. CBD is not addictive and is known to inhibit addictive behaviour. CBD does not produce a tolerance similar to that of THC.
